While building anything close to heart in life or work. Always remember
A. Know the cost you spent vs value you get. Don’t spent too much for a momentary high. But don’t shy away from something that will stay for years.
B. Make sure you are present and pay attention to the minute details of the work youself. If its personal always remember nobody will care as much as you do, not even the supervisors.
C. Get a written estimate of what they say will build and compare it with the outcome and in the process. Keep a check every once in a while.
D. Get a second or third opinion whenever required. There is nothing wrong in asking same questions if you have litte or no information
E. Delay confirmation. Don’t take quick decisions. Take 24 or 48 hours to take any decisions that impacts you for more than a year
